The mission of Gwinnett College is to provide diploma and associate degree higher education programs. These programs of high quality are designed to prepare a diverse student population to meet the needs of employees in the legal, medical, and business fields. The career-oriented degree programs contain up-to-date and integrated general education curriculum to provide for a well-rounded academic experience. GC has its goal of preparing students academically, intellectually, personally, and professionally for successful careers and advancement.

Gwinnett College was founded in July, 1976, by its past president Ruby B. Jackson, as an answer to the tremendous growth being experienced in the North Atlanta, Georgia area and by Gwinnett County in particular.

In December, 2002, Gwinnett College received approval from Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission to offer Associate Degrees. In April, 2003, Gwinnett College applied for and received Associate Degree granting authority from the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. On July 1, 2003, we received approval from the U.S. Department of Education to award Associate Degrees.

With 12 different academic and technical programs to choose from, it's easy to find a program that is right for you. All of our programs are offered in the day and in the evening making it easy to fit into your schedule. The programs also give you an opportunity to gain certification. After graduating from the Medical Assisting Program, you will be eligible to take the National Certified Medical Assistant examination on campus as well as the Certified Phlebotomy Technician and Certified EKG Technician exams. If you'd rather go into Medical Office Administration, you can sit for the Certified Medical Office Administration exam or the Certified Billing and Coding exam. Once you've completed our Paralegal Program, you can sit for the Certified Legal Assistant exam given through the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). The business and computer programs also offer certification. Many of our graduates from the Computer Information Systems/Business Administration Program have passed Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exams in areas such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Our Accounting and Business graduates have been extremely successful with the Registered Bookkeeper and CPA Assistant examinations. We have two locations in Atlanta and a campus in Raleigh, North Carolina. Our Gwinnett Campus is located in Lilburn at the corner of Lawrenceville Highway and Beaver Ruin/Arcado Road. From Interstate 85 traveling North, take a right off of the interstate onto Beaver Ruin Road (Exit 102) and travel for approximately 3.6 miles to the intersection with Lawrenceville Highway. Amenities
We have a student massage clinic at each of our locations that is open to the public. Student massages are $40 for a one-hour massage, $55 for a 90-minute massage, and $70 for a 2-hour massage. Our massage clinic is open on Fridays and Saturadays at our Lilburn campus and Tuesday through Sunday at our Sandy Springs campus. Call ahead for an appointment, the appointment times have a tendency to fill up quickly.We also have a fitness center that is open to the public and is only $15 per month with only a 3 month contract required.
