Provided by YP.comSad place, if you want your loved ones to die early take them here.she was only there 4 days. Wasn't giving proper meds, sat in soiled sheets all night, told the help they did nothing.

Provided by YP.comMy mom was sent to Gateway after several weeks in the hospital in order to gain back her strength. I have nothing bad to say about the therapy, and the food wasn't that bad. Many of the nurses were nice as well; however, one nurse had a habit of talking down to my mom, telling Mom that she could move around, eat, go to the bathroom herself if she really wanted to, that my mom was just "faking". (After two weeks, my mom was rushed back to the hospital because of cervical stenosis. She 1st lost the ability to move her feet, then her arms, and this paralysis would've continued without surgery. She was NOT faking.) The nurses also seemed too busy - too busy to answer a call light when a patient needed to use the bathroom. This happened with my mom, who after waiting for help for 30 minutes, was forced to go in the recliner. This also happened to a former coworker of my dad's also staying at the facility at the same time. This man, however, was able to move to the commode by himself, though it was not recommended. When the nurse finally arrived to help, she reprimanded him for moving to the commode on his own!
I felt the need to get this out there especially since I found another review giving this place 5 stars. Perhaps this other person was more independent and didn't have to rely on a cranky nurse. All I know is that this was my experience and I will never send a loved one here again if I can help it.
