Prairie Life has probably the best equipped gym in Lincoln, with good equipment that's well maintained, clean, and plenty of aerobic stations. That being said, it's all completely ruined by quite possibly the rudest, laziest staff I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The young kids they hire for the front desk and to clean and work at the pool are usually polite and do a good job. But the personal trainers are rude, lazy, and will not help you if you haven't hired them. Their income is derived from selling you personal training, and if you haven't hired them, they just stand around in the way, yakking and being obnoxious. The manager and owners are even more rude, and act like you are putting them out if you have a question or tell them about something that needs repaired. Go to Gold's. Ten dollars a month, and no personal trainers to injure you and drive you nuts.
