Provided by YP.comMake sure to ask about the prices, and get it IN WRITING before you allow anything to be done to your pet. I had spoken with the vet EACH time I went to Lincolnton Animal Hospital, and made sure she knew I did NOT have money, and owed so much on credit, that I could not afford the surgeries I needed to take care of my own brain tumors, spinal & nerve tumors, so I could only do what was absolutely essential, for my pet's health. My finances were so bad, that I called and cancelled my appointment to have my dog spayed, telling them that I cancelled, because I could NOT AFFORD IT! The next week, I received a phone call from Lincolnton Animal Hospital, explaining that the VET told them to call me & schedule my dog to be spayed, that they would do the spaying & hernia repair for the $110 special of the previous month, even though that special price had expired. I was thinking how sweet & helpful, to still do the special price, and that the vet must really care! During the appointment, before the surgery, I specifically asked the vet if she would still be able to repair the hernia my tiny dog had, which was a hole in the abdominal muscles, which allowed a branch of her uterus to protrude through. The vet said yes, that was no problem. They did give me a paper to sign, saying that they don't give animals pain medication after surgery, and several other items that you expect to be part of the surgery to spay or neuter your dog. I did want my dog to have pain meds, and signed for that, thinking that would be the only thing added to the $110 I had been quoted. After the surgery, the vet says all went well, she did the hernia repair, and that yes, it was the dog's uterus sticking through the hernia. Then she sent me to billing before they brought me my dog. I was horrified when the billing person said my total was something like $398 or $498! I started bawling, I was STUNNED! Here I had cancelled my appointment and wasn't even going to have the surgery done, but THEY called ME & made the appointment, offering the low $110 price! How on earth did it get THAT HIGH? The girl went & talked to the vet, came back out, and said that NOPE! They didn't offer me any special deal, that they did 2 separate surgeries, and that the exorbitant price was correct! They wouldn't give my dog back until I paid, either, so it feels like you are being blackmailed! I had to add it to my credit card debt, maxing it out! I was absolutely sick! Every time I have gone there, the prices ended up way higher than I was told to expect, and it does seem like they upsell EVERYTHING, making it sound like you are a neglectful owner if you don't buy everything they tell you to. While I do think the vets are extremely good at what they do, I do not feel like they care about the animals or the animals owners, they just care about money, and how much they can siphon out of your credit cards, when they already drained your bank account!

Provided by YP.comOur dog Patches had to undergo emergency surgery last week. The problem was detected in the morning right after we brought her in and the surgery was done in a couple of hours. So far he has recovered quickly! Patches is 16 years old and has had several medical problems throughout his life. I really want to thank Dr. Miller for helping Patches and us get through the bad times. If it wasn't for the very best care that they provide here at Lincolnton Animal Hospital Patches wouldn't have made it this far! We can never thank Dr. Karen Miller or her staff enough, but we do than you from the bottom of our hearts!

Provided by YP.comFor those who still currently use Lincolnton Animal Hospital I STRONGLY suggest considering transferring your pets to another office. My recent experience there was HORRIBLE! Not only was I there for over 2 hours after my set appointment time, I was also charged for $100 of medications I did not need to treat my dog. My dog was being seen for a growth that just appeared and during the exam process the staff and Dr. Miller continued to up sell charges to me including administering a shot before consulting me. When told I needed to have the growth removed immediately due to Mass Cells, I was asked if I could be there Monday with a estimate of $800 dollars.. after reviewing the estimation they were going to charge me for dental cleaning, kennel cough, additional pain medication, iv cath, flea treatment, a class 1 injection, and 2 separate anesthesia in addition to the growth removal and biopsy. Then today when the staff called to confirm her so called DENTAL appt. they had no record of her being seen for her growth and that she we was supposed to be coming in for surgery to remove it. Needless to say SHE WILL NOT BE RETURNING. THEY HAVE NO COMPASSION FOR PETS OF THERE OWNERS.

Provided by YP.comI feel so good that I can provide this great health care for all of my pets. Especially, Charlie and All the problems he has had in the past. Must doctors would have given up on him...not these girls. They continue to work on each problem full steam ahead. They also work very close together as a team. The most honest opionions on which treatmemts to choose and studying late at night at home on what will help is just part of their everyday job. If only I could find a medical doctor with the knowledge and the willingness to care for me the way they do my pets.
I would highly recommend that you try Lincolnton Animal Hospital before you try any where else and I feel very strongly that your pets will agree, They are the best. Everytime I am there I am thanking them for something nice and caring that they just did on their own. They love the animals and I think that puts them a step above someone just dong a job. Charlie, Joker, Merlyn, Jersey, Spurr Kitty, Sweet Pea and Or Rio all say THANK YOU!
