Worst service experience ever.

Fuel door on my vehicle wouldn't open because the plastic clip that holds the spring broke.

1. Dealer took an hour to get my vehicle into service despite me having an appt.

2. I was then told that the part was not covered by my vehicle service agreement because "rust is not covered", despite the fact that I had just purchased this vehicle six weeks earlier, the vehicle was previously driven in Texas and had zero rust, and the part that broke was PLASTIC!

3. Service associate finally bothered to call. The repair was approved. Told me they would need to order the part and they would call me Monday to schedule. I left. 3 weeks later the dealer has yet to call me back to schedule the repair.

4. To avoid another multi-hour wait for a 5 minute repair, I bought the part for $10 online. I called Toyota to request reimbursement under my extended warranty was told that Grossinger had billed for the parts AND LABOR and Toyota had already paid!

Not a good experience

First let me say this is my first time ever having to leave anyone a negative review. My experience was so bad; I feel I owe the public a warning. I have bought some 40 vehicles in my life and this was the worst experience I have ever had. I live about 5 hours away from Grossinger Toyota, in Missouri. I put a deposit down and told them what day I would come get truck, (so it would be ready). I called the night before to make sure financing work was good and truck was ready. I called on my way 5 hrs before getting there and 1 hour before. I arrived at 2pm and was seen by financing department at just before 7 pm. Then when signing paper work, they could only fine one company to loan me money. It was their company Toyota, at 23% interest. I decided to just take it home and refinance it here, since I just loaned a truck here about 4 month ago at 7%. As soon as we left we saw that the odometer does not work, thank God for the warranty package we bought. A week later I took it to get inspected, being a Missouri resident they don’t except Illinois inspection. I found out is has about $1,500 worth of work that needs done. Maybe to be expected it is a used vehicle. However, it has two sway bar bushing shot and will not pass. I am sure IL. Has to consider that a safety issue as well. Grossinger said can’t help you probably broke them. So here I am with another $250 out of pocket on something that should have been done. Please help yourself and never buy a used vehicle from them.Charlie
