I've been visiting and loving this place whenever I was in Chicago, since I was first stationed at the nearby Great Lakes Naval Training Center in 1977, and it's as good now as it was then: Awesome! As a New Yorker, I know bagels, and these are as good as they get.

I have been a customer of New York bagel and bialy for quite a while. Lately, I have noticed that the cinam. raisin bagels do not have either cinam. or raisins in them. Now, has the manager of the Lincolnwood or Skokie bakery altered their ingredients to save some money? Raisins have a taste that one cannot miss. I know that one of their stores that they supply with bagels has remarked about the different taste, too. If anything, these raisin bagels were over-baked in my last order. Either the manager or baker needs to put raisins in these bagels or stop calling them by that product.l

These bagels are the genuine article, genuine water bagels, liberally incorporated with whatever flavor you want. Best in Chicagoland, far and away. Advice: ask for the garlic bagels in a separate bag from the rest of your order, and double-bag the garlic bagels once you get them home. That is if you can resist consuming them for that long!
