LoBue Bros was established in 1934 by Philip LoBue, an Italian immigrant. The company is a full-service, independent, commercial packer and marketer of California oranges. Based in Lindsay, Calif., LoBue contracts with growers to harvest, pack and market their oranges. The company uses its own sales staff to sell the fruit throughout the United States, as well as is Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the Pacific Rim. LoBue specializes in the Navel and Valencia species of oranges. LoBue Citrus Specialties is a separate operation that specializes in other citrus fruits, such as Cara Caras, Minneolas, blood and grapefruit. In addition, LoBue formed a subsidiary company, Sun Rapt Foods, which was created to market its fruit juice by-products.
