Spoke with Tim on phone. He was great to speak with and very resourceful.

This is the best place to take your import ,great and honest place.He will tell you the prices and let you know that the most expensive parts are just as good as the cheapest and will let you decide and not choose it for you. He took great care of me and my Toyota Corolla and DIDN'T OVER CHARGE ME ! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone ! You will not be dissapointed !

I will never again take a vehicle to Gillette. I had some issues with my 84 Toyota. I called around to shops in the Meadville area. I spoke with Tim Gillette and he informed me that he is extremely knowledgable on Toyotas, even older models, and said he could definitely work on my vehicle. Unfortunately he had a full schedule and wasn't able to book an appointment for my vehicle at his shop until a week later. My appointment was for a Thursday and I dropped my vehicle off at the shop on Wednesday night. I called Thursday at the close of business and they hadn't even got my vehicle up on the rack. I called on Friday and they had to order parts, which wouldn't be in until Saturday. I called on Saturday and they ordered the wrong parts. This situation continued several more days. Tim finally ordered the correct parts on Monday. I wasn't able to pick my vehicle up until Wednesday, six days after my appointment. My bill was nearly $1,000, with 3/4 of the bill being labor. I feel the high labor cost is because Tim chose to rebuild certain parts (brake calipers) instead of simply purchasing new ones, which would have cost less. I strongly feel Tim wasted both my time and my money. Tim and his staff are extremely pleasant so I thought I was in good hands. However, I'm confident I would have paid less and had my vehicle done much faster if I had taken it some place else.

Gillette Import Autowerks has always treated me great. I am mechanically inclined and often do alot of my own work on my Honda Accord. I know he is one of the most honest and experienced mechanics out there for imports. He is stright forward with pricing and parts. He treats my car with the same passion that I have. For honest work for an price take your car here! You will be glad you did.
