The serviceman was knowledgeable in the maintenance of our 2 units and mini split. Jakes has been serving us for 3 years after we purchased this 20 year old home.

I'm very disappointed in Jake's. My parent's were customers for over 15 years. Any company that would take advantage of a Widow doesn't deserve to be in business.

We discovered mold in the ducts at my mom's house and called Jake's in. They did some form of preliminary work, including a $500+ part to help remedy this situation in the future. They then quoted my mom over $7,000 for a cleanup job. We went to her homeowners insurance, who brought in another company. Ironically, the professional who came in knows the owner of Jake's. He confirmed to my mom that the $500 part is no where to be found. Told my mom to contact this owner and he would makes things right. A third company later confirmed the part was not there to avoid any conflicts of interest.

That was weeks ago. Apparently the owner doesn't have time for a customer of 15 years. What they DO have time for is ripping people off. We brought in two other companies and for identical or more work, both jobs came in under $2,000. These companies were given no background on what other companies had been there or other prices quoted.

My mom then asked the technician, I believe the one who is referred to on here recently as excellent and so attentive, had ignored her multiple requests for an itemized list of what she has already paid for.

I challenge ANYONE from Jake's to refute anything that was said on this review. Your company prays on the vulnerable. And now if her system went out tomorrow (which it has multiple times and is less then 5 years old), I have no doubt Jake's would let her sit there and sweat while they pout about being caught.

TO THE OWNER: Do what is right, I expect you to refund her fully for all "work" done, completely refund her service contract that she just paid you, and provide her a written apology.
