Agreed. They have bad billing ...

Agreed. They have bad billing practices. I paid up front for an EGD and later I received a bill for an additional $413. They said when I paid up front that it was an estimation based on insurance coverage. How can an estimate be of by over $400?

The procedure was not bad, just very overpriced and bad billing practices. Use someone else if you have an option.

Provide Detailed Receipt Upon Taking Money!

On the day of my wife's colonoscopy they wanted her money in advance. No problem. But they should reciprocate by having a detailed receipt that we can present to our cafeteria plan for reimbursement. As it is now they want your money but will not provide a receipt for what was done that is eligable for reimbursement. They tell you that a detailed receipt will be ready in about a week from the time of procedure. This is not a good practice and is inconvienient for the customer. It is another example of the medical service industry not following good business practice. I believe if they are not ready to provide a qualifying receipt for you money on the day of service, that the customer should not have to pay until the bill is received. I will recommend that we not use this facility again if that is their policy.
