I changed my fuel pump and about a month later the car broke down. Took it to these guys and they said I needed a new fuel pump and it would cost me $1100.

I thought that was outrageous so I decided to take it somewhere else. The mechanic told me that one of the hoses was rotton but he temporarily 'rigged' it so that it would start so I could drive it onto the tow dolly.

I took it to a small shop in Cabot where I've taken cars before and explained to them about the fuel pump.

The next day the mechanic in Cabot called me and said the big hose to the pump has simply popped off and he put a .50 cent hose clamp on it to hold it in place. I still had to pay 2 hours labor but it wasn't even close to $1100.

The car has been running fine ever since.

I told these guys I had put a new fuel pump in and they knew the pump was fine because the he 'rigged' it to start but instead of charging me a couple hours labor to fix the hose they tried to rob me out of $1100. I guess they get a lot of customers that'll pay those inflated prices but in my book that's dishonest.
