I left my car for repair of cosmetic damage from a tornado. They disassembled the car, then two weeks later tried to get my insurance to pay for unrelated damage. when the insurance rightfully said no, they held my car hostage until I paid them $1100.00 to put it back together. They took 9 weeks to get me my car back.

There was no reason to disassemble the car to "discover " the extra damage. They did it to hold the car. Only when I said I was sending a tow truck to get it did they say they would put it back together. They actually charged storage for holding my car hostage.

the dealership wouldn't return calls after the learned why I was calling.
