Arkansas Rehabilitation Services, also known as ARS, is a division of the Department of Workforce Education. ARS provides comprehensive medical care and job readiness and independent living skill training services for people with disabilities. It additionally offers educational, job placement and support services. The division also operates the Hot Springs Rehabilitation Center, which provides traumatic care and comprehensive physical and occupational therapy services. Founded in 1918, the ARS offers the Increasing Capabilities Access Network program, which provides technology-related information and services. The division also operates the Arkansas Career Training Institute, which offers more than 25 vocational training programs. It also provides assessment, evaluation and therapy services. Arkansas Rehabilitation Services additionally offers transportation, referral and psychiatric counseling services. The division is located in Little Rock, Ariz.
