I've used A Cut Above for about 5 years. The last year things went downhill fast. My dog was returning with nicks. Since she is a standard poodle that sort of thing happens. The problem is dropping off you pet at 8:30AM and not having them until after 3PM. The owner has no conscience about this problem and when I presented my concern she told me to go somewhere else that a dog will indeed stay in a cage, "Get over it". I think when paying a $90.00 grooming fee she should pace herself so all dogs get out within a resonable amount of time. Unfortunately it appears that greed has trumped special care as I first experienced. After talking with her today and being told that 6 hours in a cage is quite common.

I used A Cut Above for years. In the beginning they were great. As I continued to take my dog she would be nicked. My concern became when they were keeping my dog (standard poodle) for 5 -6 hours at a time. This has taken place over the past 4 groomings. In my opinion that is cruel to my dog as well as me as I have to stay by the phone waiting for a call. Upon complaining and expressing my concern I was told, "Take her somewhere else," Very poor customer service and cruel to keep a pet caged for 6 - 7 hours without any notice it will take that long!

I have taken my dogs to A Cut Above for nearly 10 years. I have been very happy with their service, the treatment of my pets, and the friendly service. My only complaint is that my poodle is so spoiled by them that when we travel and he has to go somewhere else he hates it and gives the new groomer a hard time. We try to time our travel around his grooming needs!

My family has had bad experiences with groomers in the past. I took our new pup here for her first grooming. Not only was I happy, but my pup was very happy too. The facilities are very well kept; the groomers are friendly and willing to talk with you about your dog. They even have their own shop dogs there (personal pets), which love to hang out with your dog while waiting for their turn. I don't think my dog spent any time locked up in a cage. I really like this place and even referred it to people driving by through the parking lot.

I'm so impressed with how professional, clean, friendly, and accessible A Cut Above is. I've tried others in the area and this one gets my A+ vote.
