Provided by YP.comOn 1/28/16 SW Heating & Cooling installed a humidifier in my home for a cost of $1,850.00. On 2/2 humidifier stopped working. SW came out on 2/9. The tech stated they have had many problems with this humidifier. The humidifier is still was not working and I can't get anyone to return my calls. I have spoken with Lisa (secretary) numerous times who said she has given Mike McCollum (owner) my messages. The last time I called I stated I was going to file a report with the Better Business Bureau. This was the one time Mike called me back. He informed me that “refunds were bad for his financials” and he did not offer to fix or replace the humidifier. Mike's membership with the Better Business Bureau has been revoked because he does not respond to customer complaints. This guy does not care about customers or being honest.

Provided by YP.comI feel that I was Shanghaied with excessive charges: Technician charged me $393 for the part [Honeywell International VR8200A2132 Gas Control Valve on a
Comfortmaker Furnace] and $89 for what was written as Diagnostic charge. This part retails for $69-$109 and is easily installed as it is accessible on the
furnace and the gas shutoff is just near it. When I questioned the Vendor about a %300-400 markup, I was told that this charge of $393 is from a standard
rate sheet from 1995 that includes installation and that the $89 was for a 'travel charge.' The technician was there for a total of 80 minutes from arrival
to departure. Hence, the labor/installation is somewhere between $250-$260/hour, which is excessive and unreasonable. Other local heating and cooling
companies [e.g., Day & Night] charge up to $222.90 for the Gas valve and Labor $100.00 and offer a $30 discount so that Southwest is at least $159-$189 or
totally out of line, Had I had the chance to just pay the $89, I could have purchased the part and easily installed it myself in less than an hour. Needless
to say, I do not plan to ever use this vendor again, nor my friends and colleagues. Nevertheless, should the vendor admit overcharging and adjust the billing
to a satisfactory/fair figure, I will revise this posting accordingly.
