Over the past several years I have discovered, not just from observing the effects coaching has on others, but through my own personal experience in having a coach myself, how there is really nothing that can get you on the path to success faster, no matter what your goals, than having a coach or mentor to help you get there. The biggest benefit of having a trained coach is to help you see things that are going on in your life through different lenses. We all see and react to our life situations and circumstances through the lenses of our own beliefs, perceptions, and values, and through the meanings we give to those situations, which many times can end up working against us. We keep repeating the same actions and reactions to the same situations hoping to one day see changes, which never seem to happen. Then we pass these same lenses on to our kids then wonder why our kids seem create stress in our life. We can see them looking through their own lenses as they react to situations in their own life. Well a coach can see our situations from an outsiders perspective and provide alternate meanings to those situations for us to consider, and help question our previously held beliefs that are likely untrue yet running our life. As parents we want to help our kids develop coping skills to deal with the stresses of their lives. But when we are having difficulties dealing with our OWN stress, helping our kids becomes very challenging, if not impossible on our own. This is where I CAN HELP!
