I too ordered the scallop dish wish is to die for. This place is great even though the location is very unassuming. Prices are a little higher but worth it for a special dinner. Please tell all your friends!

Their Springtown location isn't very desirable, it's probably the last place you'd look for a restaurant in Livermore. I went there last night for dinner in a party of 6 and in the end it was a pleasant experience for most of us.The fried calamari appetizer was okay; the organic mixed greens salad was delicious. The people in my party who ordered the salmon and venison were extremely happy with their entrees, but I ordered their special which was Paella and was highly disappointed. Piccola Casa's version was a poor excuse for Paella as it did not resemble the dish at all. It lacked such key ingredients as saffron, mussels, peas and capers, plus they overwhelmed the dish with such a heavy tomato sauce that they should have called the dish "Tomato Stew with Mixed Meats (chicken, halibut, chorizo and shrimp). I missed the crispy, caramelized texture of the rice typically found at the bottom of the dish.We ended with fabulous desserts, the peaches & cherry crisp and brownie a la mode.
