Do not use Franciscan for your CPAP supplies in Syracuse area. You'll get bureaucratic runarounds, you will waste a lot of your time on phone calls and you will be asked to do their job and act as an intermediary between them and your insurance company. When it came time for the 6-month refill of my CPAP supplies, they refused to ship me the mask, the most important part that wears out faster than the other parts. The mask is supposed to be replaced every 3-6 months. They claimed that my insurance wouldn't cover the mask. I called the insurance company several times and each time they told me that yes, they would cover it. (I had to call, Franciscan wouldn't be bothered to get off their rear end to do it). I let Franciscan know this, they then claimed they would ship the mask, but the mask didn't arrive with the rest of the supplies. When I called about this, they again claimed that the insurance didn't cover it, and again I called and confirmed that they would cover it. But Franciscan stubbornly maintained it wouldn't be covered. In the end I had to switch suppliers. I notice the mask price listed in Franciscan documents (i.e., the price they charged the insurance company) is about twice the price I myself could get the identical mask for on the internet, shipping included!

I had nurses and nurses aids comes out nurses had to come once a week to change my nephrostomy dressing..They were alright at first..Then one day they came I had fever and wouldn't go to hospital so the one nurse went and spied on my fb acct and called me and told me to go to er cuz I posted I had a fever still..then about a week later I posted on fb acct that I wasn't feeling good within 1 hr the nurses aids banging on my door I didn't answer took me about 15 mins she said the boss sent me why are they spying on my FB acct? so then I made complaint and then the nurses aids would stop coming out to help me they just ignorant and this went on for over a month days they cancel or never show they give me 2 hrs each day 2 times a week but hardly got it. .And alot lies I'm talking to my doctor and switching just horrible care!
