Pool is open 12 days out of the summer. When we politely asked about it we were told that "the pool is an amenity and you guys aren't guaranteed anything that is included as an amenity." They pretend they are so friendly at first but once you live there you are nothing. Washer on 3rd floor has been broken for over 3 weeks, lights flicker in the hallways and my wife's car was towed at our expense of $348.30 because they made a confusing map of where and where not to park when they decided to repaint the lines. All of this in 3 months. Once lease is up, I write to the papers and I leave.

These are thieves working under broad daylight. $1,200 was milked out from my neighbour at Norstar as fine for carpet damages when he moved out. The carpet had just dirt which could easily be cleaned using vaccum. Photo evidence presented by Norstar clearly proved that damages weren't authentic and invalid. However, the management was arrogant and stated they control the place and decide whatever they want to. I have never seen such broad daylight robbery. Time to bring them to law. NEVER EVER stay here and advise your friends too.

I would never recommend moving here to anyone. As the post below states I've only lived here a year and thank god I'm leaving. Everything the previous review states is true. If I had read the reviews before moving in I would have never made that decision. I've had multiple problems with the management. Very money hungry and a bunch of con-artists.

At Norstar they put a great shine on the pile. This place is the slum of slums and they know it. They just don't care. The office staff, mainly the wonderful Darla are all lying scumbags and good at it. They put more money into the landscaping than anything thing else. The elevators are always out, the water gets shut off all the time, the toilets back up, apartments get flooded from busted pipes, etc. Why not just fix the problems right? Because if it's inside the doors of the buildings than it doesn't matter. The laundry rooms are disgusting, overpriced and the dryers don't work. They seem to segregate here also. You'll notice certain buildings have more black people than others, certain ones more hindus (lots of hindus, more on that later), and then the crazy folks on section 8. Speaking of section 8. Apparently in order to keep the government funds pouring in they control the heat, isn't that special? This year they apparently forgot to turn it off so it's in the 70's and you still have heat pumping in to your bathroom, the hallways, etc. Oh back to the hindus. The cool thing about that is apparently "someone" rents out some apartments and then moves in and out loads of hindu people. Some sleep on the floors and have barely any furniture, sounds odd huh? But it's Norstar where it doesn't matter as long as there is $$$ to be made. They also use pesticides on the lawn which make me sick as a dog. They don't even bother to give you any notice. If you like punishment move in here but I betcha you won't stay more than a year. Oh and if you do, they raise the rent every single year you renew.
