This water company is trash they are expensive and always cutting off the water without notice they cut my water off without notice their has got to be something we can do about this water company

They do not follow the law. The Texas Office of Public Utility Counsel provides rights to the consumer. These greedy people shut my water off when they were at fault for the defaulted payment, and they did not turn the water back on for 2 days after the payment was corrected.

A utility may not suspend or disconnect service for nonpayment if the consumer establishes that some person residing at that residence will become seriously ill or more seriously ill if service is terminated. To avoid disconnection under these circumstances, the consumer must provide a written statement from a physician to the utility prior to the stated date of disconnection. Service may be disconnected if the next month’s bill and the past due bill are not paid by the due date of the next month’s bill, unless the customer enters into a deferred payment plan with the utility.

*This designation does not relieve the consumer of their duty to pay their utility bill.

They send out letters all the time telling you not to drink that cancer causing crap. My 82 yr old mother has to drive to town just to purchase drinking water then carry all that water from her car to her house. She has lived there over 10 yrs with her 101 yr old mother that just passed. She called to get some type of assistance with paying the bills and they informed her the water bill she has been paying was in my grandmothers name so they are now putting it in her name AND instead of any assistance she will have to pay a 300.00 turn on fee or they will turn it off. She is crying and wishing she had never told them her mother died because she doesn't have 300.00 Why such an expensive deposit for carcinogenic water? When she asked for my grandmothers deposit back they told her no. The lady that works there is so mean and hateful i can see her busting hell wide open.

lake livingston water supply sent me a bill for 97.00 dollars for a month of service, and then a few day's later shut off my water without sending me a cut off notice.



I called them and asked them why they charged me 97.00 for a month of service when I've been gone for two weeks out of the month and she couldnt answer that. then she told me if I want my service restored it was going to cost me 197.00 . I asked her why and she told me 50 for turning it off and 50 for tuning it back on.

this is why a monopoly is a bad idea, because companies can do what ever they like if they are the only game in town.

When storm IKE knocked out the power in our area, we never lost water, BUT we lost pressure, this water comp. "Lake Livingston Water Supply" could not get a generator to its custmers for more then 7 days, when i would call and ask them why?

They said they where waiting on FEMA to buy them a generator, (GET REAL)

FEMA bought them a generator, to run for us during Rita, when i ask about that one they told me they sold it! If i have to spend $10,000 to drill a water well, so be it, maybe they wont mind me waiting on FEMA to pay my water bill?

PS. they never got pressure, we got power first
