I am new to the area and decided to shop around for a good nail salon. The first time I went into USA Nails on Farmington and 6 mile, the person at the front counter greeted me like I was more of a nuisance than a prospective customer, so I left. Thinking that maybe the person was having a bad day, I decided to give USA Nails a second chance a few days later. This time I was greeted by a middle aged woman who looked at me like I didn't belong there. Granted I had on a baseball cap and probably looked worn out from a busy day, her rude indifference was not appreciated or appropriate for anyone working in a service industry. Unfortunately, I had this unnerving feeling that she was sizing me up based on my appearance. After my failed attempts to wave her a little closer so I wouldn't have to yell out what services I needed, I decided to simply leave. I am going to be putting in a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because quite honestly, I think owners who may have a decent number of regular clients, erroneously think they can pick and choose who they want to extend common courtesy towards. P.S. The service wasn't too much better when I went around the corner to City Nails on 7 mile and Farmington. I guess that employee's excuse for being rude was that I didn't have an appointment. It might be time for me to break down and simply start carving out some time to take care of my nail needs at home. :)
