Jehovah's Witnesses is a Christian group that bears witness concerning Jehovah, his Godship, and his purposes, and has its world headquarters located in Logan, Utah. It believes in the Bible as the word of God, and consider its 66 books to be inspired and historically accurate, and takes them literally. It believes that many of the prophecies of the Bible have been fulfilled, others are in the course of fulfillment, and still others await fulfillment. Jehovah's Witnesses was founded in 1879, by Charles Taze Russell, in Pittsburgh, and has a following of more than 7 million people in over 230 countries worldwide. The group also publishes and distributes various religious books and magazines.
