Dr. Parikh, a native of Atlanta, earned his undergraduate degree at Emory University and medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia. He then attended the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where he completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowship in transplant hepatology. Dr. Parikh received his specialized gastroenterology training at Emory University. He is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. Dr. Parikh has been practicing gastroenterology in the Atlanta community since 2015. More recently, he served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Emory University. He presented on various GI topics, including viral hepatitis and colon cancer screening. He has been published in multiple peer reviewed journals and book chapters. Dr. Parikh specializes in upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube placement, capsule endoscopy, high resolution esophageal manometry, anorectal manometry, and management of chronic liver diseases, including hepatitis B and C therapy. In his spare time, Dr. Parikh enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and sports. Dr. Parikh is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
