I am somewhat new to the area and a few weeks ago I found myself needing to find a mover on short notice. I read a few reviews and spoke to Bonnie, who coordinates the moves for J & P by getting the logistics from the client and then gives an estimate for the job.



I had a good feeling about her immediately. She was professional, upbeat, and addressed all of my concerns. She followed through by emailing a work order which broke down the rates and spelled out exactly what I should expect.



We were executing a move that involved my mother moving from her apartment to our home. We requested the afternoon time to allow ourselves a few extra hours to do last minute things. The day of the move, they called to give us a heads up when they were finished with their morning job and were on their way.



Dan was the "man in charge" and Andy and John R. completed the team. After looking over the actual items to be moved, they gave us a solid price, which was in keeping with their estimate.



We were very pleased with their attention to detail in assuring that our treasured items arrived at my home without injury. They padded some of the bigger pieces, using shrink wrap, as well; an extra measure of protection that is sometimes left out by other companies I have used. They were quick and efficient, moving like a well oiled machine.



When they arrived at our home, they came in first to survey where some of the larger pieces would be going, and then proceeded to unload. We had to have them move a few of our large pieces into other rooms first, as we were not confident we could do it by ourselves ahead of time without turning it into a fiasco. They did not seem in the least bit bothered by that, and were able to navigate them without any difficulty at all.



They were very pleasant to work with, making sure they were putting everything exactly where we wanted them. They even helped to fix a bed before positioning it that had been previously broken by the furniture store's delivery and set-up men.



When they were finished, not one thing had been broken, and we were all extremely happy with them. I am very grateful that we were fortunate to have found such a wonderful company to help us accomplish our move without any additional stress.



We HIGHLY recommend J & P Moving, in fact, someone else in our family will be using them for an upcoming move, as well. Thanks again to the team at J & P!!!

JP Moving WAS THREE HOURS LATE!!! Many of our valuable items were DAMAGED and one of our items was LOST and mysteriously disappeared. Movers LACKED EXPERIENCE and were very unprofessional. The office staff was difficult to reach and did not return calls or emails promptly. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND this fly-by-night moving service.

I used this company in my recent move from Chicago to Madison. I was very concerned with some of the previous bad reviews but I decided to use them because they were subcontractors to the America's Moving Services (AMS) that has amazing ratings (and now I understand why).

I had a really great experience with this company. On the first day they came to pack our belongings and did a very professional work. The next day they loaded the boxes and our belongings to the truck. They came on time and finished earlier then we expected. Just seeing them work, it is clear that they are very professional and know their job. They delivered our belongings the next day. As it was at the second day, they arrived much earlier than they promised and were done by 2pm. Overall, the move itself took about 26 hours, and there is no other company that could do it at this price. The bottom line is that we were very happy with our move and we had a very pleasant experience with this company.

The guys arrived early and provided courtesy call to let us know they were on the way, as requested.



Although one of the three hired was in training, the service did not take a hit at all - the other 2 used our move as a great learning opportunity, but all three still contributed exceptionally, completing the loading of our items faster than we had anticipated and very well. We could never have done it on our own so well! We moved our stuff 1000 miles and into the mountains and EVERYTHING MADE IT DAMAGE FREE!
