I have bought 2 parakeets from there, 1 has died already and the other is extremely thin. they only live until age 2 basically. we took the first one to the vet and he said, the thinness is a sign of illness but he found no sickness in the bird, he said she was a healthy baby, but she died 3 weeks later. His explanation was that she was suffering from inbreeding, too much inbreeding can lead to cancers and tumors which kill them. this has been a heart wrenching experience and all I can do is never buy a bird there again.

Great staff, great selection, great prices. I go there for all my pets needs.

Monday was the second time that I was helped by these wonderful and knowledgeable people. The first one was to diagnose why my son's new gecko died and to save the other two from the same fate, and although the news was grim they helped me save them both.

On Monday I found a large lump on the underside of my son's adult gecko and I was very concerned so I took him in to Pets Plus. The staff there were fabulous!!!! The one staff member wasn't sure and thought maybe I'd have to go to a vet ($$$) so he reached out to another staff member and he said... try this first (ZooMeds Reptile Wound healing ointment). It is working and Echo is on the road to recovery. They also helped me chose a better substrate and upsold me a handy dandy scoop. I certainly will not be complaining about an $8 scoop now that it looks like I won't be spending $69.95+ on a vet. I highly recommend these guys! One person on another review said that Pets Plus is more expensive; BUT... I am willing to pay a little extra for such concerned, caring and helpful staff members, especially since it saves me a trip to Manchester. FIVE STARS ALL AROUND!!!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!
