Provided by YP.comI took my car in on a friday, tbey said they will look at it monday to order parts, called and said it will be in on tuesday and finished in the afternoon. I show up and they say, oh hey we meant to tell you we ordered another part and it will be in thursday and finished that night. Then they said sometime friday afternoon. Cars been in for a week with a simple fix. I use my car to work and they delayed me a week for a 2 hour fix with 3 different finish dates. Do not go here

Provided by YP.comIf I could give this place less than one star, I absolutely would. AWFUL service, and very poorly educated employees. The young man helping me out yesterday took 5 minutes to write my name, had to check before writing every letter of Chevrolet to make sure he was spelling it correctly, and then tried to charge me for something that they did less than 8 months ago that is UNDER WARRANTY. And when I got upset with them, the manager took over and proceeded to attempt to placate me as though I were a child-- outrageous. Every time I have been into this store they have treated me and my car badly, and none of their mechanics seem to be able to read a work order properly as the first time I saw them, they did not even do what I had asked, and tried to charge me $400 more than I was quoted!!! I will NEVER be going to Pep Boys again, nor will I recomend this location to anybody! Terrible all around...

Provided by YP.comI have been to this location many times for small fixes (i.e. new battery, check engine light, etc), but this last visit finally made me decide to never come back. I brought my truck in at 8am to have it checked as my battery light came on; I bought a new Bosch battery from this location less than 12 months ago, had it installed here as well.
The mechanics said I had a bad alternator and could fix it for me, would be about a 2 hour fix. So I left my truck there and heading into work. At noon I received a call (4 hours later) from the mechanic letting me know I needed a new serpentine belt ontop of the new alternator. I said fine, do it. By 6pm I had not heard anything else, stopped in, and found my truck was still being worked on. It took them 3 tries to successfully install a new alternator and they ended up blowing one of my fuses in the process.
Next morning, I get a call letting me know it is ready; I pick it up, drive it home, and it has a flat tire. Take it to Discount Tire where the remove a 3-inch by 1/2-inch piece of metal that is covered in shop grease from my tire. I ask the Discount Tire people if that is a common item on the roadways; they noted it looked like a shop part found in most car garages. Tire was destroyed, had to be replaced.
I call Pep Boys to let them know what happened, they claimed no liability and said it could have come from anywhere. I have had my set of tires for just under 2 years with no flats; I go to Pep Boys and coincidentally run over a long metallic shop part on the way home?
This experience, coupled with my other failed ventures here will result in my total loss of business. Looks like I am not the only one either.

Provided by YP.comPaid for service to have pitman arm replaced. I was asked which side. This should have been a clue that they do not know a thing about fixing a vehicle. When I got the vehicle back, the steering wheel was now upside down. It was not like this when I brought it in. Went back into the store and told them about it. They said since I did not purchase an alignment, they did not have to fix it. A customer should receive their vehicle back at least as good a shape as when it was serviced. Any moron can install this part correctly. You have the wheels straight when you start and lock the steering wheel, that way when you install the part, the wheels and center steering are lined up correctly. They just want to charge you for services you don't need or want. More crooked than a used car dealer. BEWARE!!!! SCAMMERS!!!!

Provided by YP.comUnable to leave a no star rating. STAY away they do not stand behind their products. Bought an oil filter and had a defective gasket and they would only refund money with original packaging. I stopped on my way home from getting a replacement and did not have receipt even though they ask for a phone number on each purchase they are not able to pull anything up in their computers with a phone number, the GM of the store only works m-f 8-5. STAY AWAY!!!!
