Provided by YPmobileI usually drive from long beach to Uncle Darrow's Creole Eatry for Gumbo, but I was desperate and gooled Sal's. When ordering I ask what was in the gumbo, she said chicken, crab legs, and beef. I ask for extra file and she squad it was cooked in the gumbo. When I pick up the order I notice that the gumbo look water and oily. Usually gumbo is hearty at least all the ones I have eaten. Once I got home I transferred it from the container into a boil using a strainer because I did not want to eat a boil full of oil. This revealed the amount of food that was hidden under all the oil they called file. It was literally 1/2 cup of food particles in the 16oz container that was mostly oil. I paid 8$ this was a rip off. Please if you ever want some real soulful gumbo go to UNCLE DARROW'S CAJUN CREOLE EATERY
2560 Lincoln Blvd
Venice, California 90291.
DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT waste hard earn money on oil water that's advertised as GUmbo.
