Village Tavern, with a location in Long Groove, Ill., operates an electronic club that offers special discounts and newsletters to its members. It also provides gift cards and organizes promotional meal events.

This place is steeped in history, I think it is the oldest bar in Illinois. Mike the manager is fun and friendly and runs a tight ship which makes for a very enjoyable experience. I recommend trying the Broasted Chicken.
