On arrival in Greenpoint Ave. we were very happy to find out there was an Irish pub next door serving food as we were quite hungry. We went there and had a very nice meal eventhough we thought the bottle of wine very expensive at 28 dollars! It was by far the dearest wine we had while staying in N.Y.! In our favourite restaurant in Times Square we paid 16 dollars for a carafe of wine--great value! The next two nights we went there for drinks we were rushed and not made atall welcome by the staff on duty-so needless to say we did not go there again. This was a pity as we would have gone there every night of our holidays had we been treated differently in the beginning --we just had to find other places to socialise--but the Bantry Bay would have been very convenient for us.Does not live up to its Irish name!!

Restaurant okay and staff very friendly-cant say the same for bar staff we encountered unfortunately!! Rushed out at 12.15 !! Just read bar open till 4.00--pure joke!!

Not recommended--bar staff that we came in contact with very unfriendly and just wanted us out.Just read opening hours 11.00--4.00-- thats a pure joke!!!! Didnt want to serve after 12.00!!!!

By far, the cleanest restaurant/ bar that I have ever eaten in. The food is outstanding as are the prices. I have never tasted a better hamburger or french fries anywhere. Bantry Bay is a must visit if you are in the area!!

Bantry bay's burger is the best hamburger that I have ever had. The french fries are also the best!! The food and atmosphere is great as are the prices. You will love this place!!
