BioCosmetic Research Lab created and operates as Black Opal, a leading skincare and color cosmetics line specifically designed to address the unique skincare needs of women and men of color. Created in 1994 by BCRL, Black Opal was developed with the consultation of Dr. Cheryl Burgess, an African-American dermatologist who had spent years treating troubled skin and seeing the inadequacy of over-the-counter skincare products available for black skin. The line s results-oriented approach offers scientifically proven formulations, including skincare and color cosmetics for women and men's shaving products.
