Snotty and rude owners. After you join, they don't want to hear from you and give you nothing but attitude. When asked for low fat, low sodium, meals I could choose from with their ingredients and nutrition label I could see before choosing I received an obnoxious response to just order the food or we can't help you. Huh? They will not counsel you in any way. Food arrived not cold, greasy, and was loaded with fat and salt.

The quality of the meals went down hill fast. Had I written a review during my trial week, it would have been an outstanding one. The meals were fantastic, melt in your mouth beef, delicious desserts, fresh greens, etc. It was so delicious I signed up for a 30 day program. Now, I don't know if they changed chefs or food suppliers, or if it's a bait and switch, but the food quality was never the same. It declined slowly, and after my first 30 days I was on the fence about whether or not to continue. I hadn't had a chance to make my mind up when, like many others, found an $800 charge on my bank statement and had been auto-renewed without so much as an email. Since I was on the fence, I went along for another 30 days, but requested never to be auto-renewed again. This is when the food went from hit or miss to inedible. The beef started tasting like...I don't know...leathery and gamey, and the chicken was rubbery and very strong smelling and tasting. It was very clear that the quality of the products was drastically changing. It got so bad that many meals were in the garbage immediately and others made me violently ill. I cancelled in the middle of my 2nd 30 day program. Of course I got hit with a 5 day cancellation fee and the suggestion that I see a doctor about my digestive ails. Ha, thanks so much for your concern. Funny how the moment I stopped with Nutropia the food poisoning-like symptoms stopped. I have to say though, unlike the customer service rep, the nutritionist on staff was excellent. She was funny, super helpful and always readily available. I just wish the food had lived up to it's claims...oh, and that I hadn't gotten violently ill.
