The Barn speaks for itself- the decor and charm make events memorable. Kim and Sue were very helpful in accommodating all of our needs before the event: showing it to family and vendors, and during the event: temperature monitoring and cleanup. It makes for terrific pictures!

We had our club Christmas party. Great place, great venue, great management! We loved it, everyone had a wonderful time. Will recommend to everyone!

We held our company Christmas Party at the D Barn on Dec 17, 2011. There were approximately 85 people who attended and we also had a live band. The accoustics were wonderful for the music and there was lots of room for mingling and dancing. It was a perfect venue for our party and Kim was very helpful. He even helped some with the setup prior to the party and the teardown after. A good time was had by all in attendance and we look forward to having future functions there. Thanks, Kim, for such a lovely place for our party!

We had our sons graduation party there and we couldn't have asked for a better place. The owners were gracious in accomodating all of our needs and bent over backwards for us. The place is beautiful and we are planning on holding other parties there because of the experience.

I had my wedding here on November 11th and this place was truly amazing! We loved our venue and it was both our reception and wedding site. The owner was a great help with everything and I would recomend this place to anybody looking for a venue for their party.Thank you for everything!Jennifer

My Birthday party was fantastic at the D-Barn Reception hall.....we had tons of room to set up and a rustic scenery to take all of our pictures! I recommend the place for anyone wanting to have a rockin time!

In late Oct. my family rented DBarn for a wedding, and I came on here to dexknows, as I often do after a purchase somewhere to write a review, and rave about this wonderful place!! The owners were so accomodating, helpful and friendly. When I read some other reviews on here, I couldn't believe what I was reading!!! It sounded to me like the renters did not live up to their contract, and ganged up on the owners. We had no problems cleaning up and cleaning the floor. We received our entire deposit back, no problem. We did not experience ANY of these negative comments by this other party. It seems to me to be a shame that some people do not follow the contract, then get mad, and try to slam them. This place is totally awesome for a CO wedding, very spacious, a great raised deck out front, and so wonderfully historic and nostalgic! And the owners are so down to earth, and the nicest people you'd ever hope to meet!! I would very honestly highly recommend DBarn to everyone!

I recently went to a friends wedding reception at the D Barn, we were really happy setting up, everything was going well but the owner was there lurking over everybody and telling us how to set up and just got in the way. We thought he would be gone when we got back there for the reception. I could't believe it, he was there getting in everyones way and barking orders at the wedding coordinator. It was unbelievable the way he just starting taking down the tables right in the middle of people dancing. Making smart comments about the air conditioner....I thought my friend payed good money for the air conditioning that day and he was throwing a fit about people coming in and out. At the end of the night when we were done cleaning 3 different people asked the managment if everything was ok and he said yes, well come to find out he his not giving my friend back her whole deposit. Way to kill a business!!

Well when we showed up early to make sure the vendors could get in a guy came hauling in the lot with his little green jeep. OK no biggie but when I went in it was as dark as the bat cave so I turned on lights. I suppose at this time the guy there is the manager NOT a friend of my friends he turns all of the lights off. Then the nice cake lady was coming up the stairs he slams the door on me. he was constantly in the woman's bathroom checking the paper towels. EWWWW. Creepy. He ate food he was NOT invited for and drank beer he was NOT invited for. He stood under the porch while my other gf was standing there obviously loose slats she had a dress on not sure what that was about. Anyways I could go on and on about why not to rent there but I will let you make up your own mind. Make sure you have plenty of money for him to nickle and dime you but not pay for what he ate or drank.... Good Luck with this place.

The guy was there at all times and was in our way when we were setting up for the reception; he also started to take tables down as people were leaving even though we still had many more rental hours to go; which in turn made some of the guest leave early because they thought the party was over and he drank the alcohol and ate the food that was there.

I was the wedding coordinator for my niece's wedding a few weeks ago and the facility was pretty good considering the number of people we had at the reception and the temperature that day, but the owner got on everyone's nerves. If you don't mind a total stranger telling you how to decorate, when to turn the lights down, when to tear down tables, interrupting the reception to tell people to park their cars better, drinking and eating the food you paid for and brought in, bringing mops to you at the end of the night, and on and on and on... I understand that this wasn't the guys first rodeo, but he should understand that he has no place being involved in planning or attending the event. I can also understand wanting to monitor your place of business, but stop by randomly a time or two, or if you have to stay the whole time, be friendly and courteous and stay in the background and the planners will probably gladly bring you some food and drink and thank you for your time.

This place was a nightmare. I paid $2300.00 to rent the place from 8am to midnight. We got there at 8 am to start setting up and the guy was there also in our way trying to tell us how to set up, he wouldn't leave us alone then when the reception started he was still there (an unwanted guests that was never invited). He harassed my guests, wouldn't let us turn on the lights or open the door becuase he was afraid his air conditioner wouldn't work!! He harassed by coordinator about taking down the tables hours before midnight, he had us out of there by 9:30 but I was still charged from 8 am to midnight!!! He ate the food and drank the beer and was constantly in the girls bathroom!! Creepy!! Then he didn't want to give back the whole $500 deposit. I would think twice before I used this faucility for your event.

A friend recently had her daughter's wedding reception here. It was a very hot day--and the A/C almost kept up--but the real problem was the guy lurking around, eating the food and clearing off the tables 4 hours before the party was due to be over. It was wierd. Now, it turns out that they have nickled and dimed their way through the deposit. Not a place I would recommend...
