There is something to be said for that feeling of comfort knowing that your best interest is at the heart of those in your service. I am a solo traveler (widowed) and am a living-donor kidney transplant recipient. Second only to well-planned adventures is keeping “my gift” safe and healthy. This is the second time in two years (Kenya 2022) that I have been blessed to work with Darcie Smith as my travel advisor. Hands-down she is par-none. Darcie supported a life-long dream to use the Rocky Mountaineer train to visit the Jasper and Banff National Parks in the Canadian Rockies. We collaborated on my travel desires and Darcie took-care of everything. Knowing me as well as she does, she also suggested that I take a guided hike in Banff National Park and arranged the hike with an indigenous guide who also has a PhD in Cultural Anthropology. It was the highlight of my 15-day holiday. The trip was perfectly planned, a detailed and accurate itinerary with carefully chosen accommodations that met my needs without being overly expensive. All of my connections and transfers were detailed so that I nary had a hitch in my adventure.
