The first Waffle House restaurant was opened on Labor Day in 1955 in Avondale Estates, Ga. Since then, it has grown into a chain of more than 1,500 company and franchise-owned casual restaurants in over 25 U.S. states. It serves a variety of waffles, steaks, omelets, hamburgers, country ham, pork chops and grits. The restaurant serves specialty dishes, such as Bert's chili, Walt s soup, Alice s iced tea and Lib's patty melt. It offers hash browns in eight different ways. Waffle House serves more than 3 million pounds of grits each year and over 10,000 T-bone steaks each day. Apart from serving food, the restaurant supports various health and human service organizations, youth and education programs, and disadvantage and other civic causes. It conducts in-house events and programs, such as The Great Miller Lite Chili Cook-off and the Waffle House World Waffle Eating Championship.

WORST PLACE

This place is the worst place you can go to. THIS IS NOT A RESTAURANT.IT IS A JOKE. I can't hit submit review unless I give at least one star . but this place should get NOO STARS. minus five stars if there's such thing

BAD BUSINESS ALL AROUND

I sat there for well over 1 hour while waiting for my order to be taken. Don't ask me why I stayed so long. I couldn't really tell you. After sitting there for so long and only seeing one waitress taking orders, even though there were two other employees there, I finally managed to get their attention. Placing an order, I thought all would be well. And then the cook went on a smoke break and never came back. One scorched meal later--the waitress tried to cook it for me--and I was done. I left a tip for her, as she tried her hardest to help.



The service was sub-par, the teenagers language was unacceptable, as were their comments about the waitress and the customers. I caught them mouthing off about me at least once. Even after a complaint to the manager, nothing was done. I will not be returning and I will be sure to encourage others to avoid it as well.
