Longview Transit Our Mission: To provide safe, efficient and reliable transportation services while providing quality customer service. Longview Transit is the designated urban ( city ) public transportation provider in the Longview ( TX ) area. We operate two primary services. On our Fixed Route Service a bus follows a published path on a basic time schedule. The vehicle can stop anywhere along the route ( when safe ) to pickup or drop-off passengers. To "flag" the bus to stop, be on the correct side of the street as far away from an intersection as reasonably possible and wave to get the driver's attention. Regular fare to ride the bus is $1.25. We also operate a Para Transit Service for those who physically can not use the Fixed Route Service. An individual must apply and be approved to use this service.
