Very nice always cute animals

This pet store doesn't even need a single star! I'll give a star to the teenagers who helped me pick out a kitten but as for the manager of store she is heartless. All she cares about is making money! I bought a kitten on a Wednesday afternoon. They told me the kitten was healthy and to me it sounded like it was taking away from his mother too soon. When I brought it home it acted fine just scared about the new place.. he was very quiet, but the next afternoon he was very weak and unbalanced,couldn't even stand up! He didnt eat at all wouldnt even try the goats milk from the store they told me to buy!! I left to go to the store that day and when I came back he passed away around 7:40 pm. I called the store to let them know. The manager asked me what did I do? Why didn't i call the vet and make an appointment that night? Why did I try to feed it with a syringe? It wasnt freaking eating and it was weak what was I supposed to do? Everything was closed!! I didn't even get a "I'm sorry for you loss." They did refund me the money I spent. I will not be spending my money here. Please do not buy a kitten here you will be taking a chance! And please, don't bring your kittens here. All they care about is money!

Love this pet store they're very nice there and they have good advice on what you need for your pets and they always treat you very repeat fully for ur pets needs :) great place!!!!

This store is amazing!! The store is clean, their selection of animals is good, and well taken care of!!! And the employees are very knowledgeable, are friendly and seem to really love there job!! We deffinatly recommend this store!

NEVER get an animal at Wet Pets & Critters!!! We got a female guinea pig for my daughter at Christmas and had to wait a month for another female for my son (we wanted no babies and to keep both in the same cage to become best friends)......this was to help my kids to learn & play together as they are 8 years apart. The employees (teenagers) did not tell me anything about how to care for guinea pigs when I purchased them, NEITHER TIME; and now we have babies cause we actually ended up with a male. I called the store and the manager told me we have to remove the male from the cage and keep the babies for at least 4 weeks to nurse. That's ALL the advice she gave me. Oh and that sometimes it's hard to tell a female from a male ... REALLY?!?! Aren't you supposed to know more than that if you are selling animals? The only reason I went to Wet Pets was because PETCO didn't have females. I Googled guinea pig babies and found more information on the search page than what they told me, plus contradictions of what the manager told me! Needless to say, I will take the advice from Google! The manager called back and said the owner offered to keep the mom and the babies for the four weeks; then they will keep the babies and our male while we wait on another female. THAT'S IT? First, you would be the LAST place I leave these babies at...just so you can make money off them and not care for the animals...YOU'RE CRAZY LADY!!! Second, we are already attached to the male and I am not about to take my son's pet away because of your mistake...all I wanted from you was a cage so I could separate the male. Why is that so much to ask for? You want to make money off me but aren't willing to offer a suitable cage due to your employees ignorance? It's the pure principle of the matter. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO YOUR STORE!! I should of just waited for PETCO! Not to mention, the store stinks and it was dirty both times I went in. They should close this down for the sake of all the animals!!

This pet store is amazing! We recently moved to Longview from the Dallas metroplex area and we have been in A LOT of pet stores over the years. Wet Pets N Critters is not only one of the best stores we've been to, but they have a very knowledgable staff. Before we went there, one of our neighbors said there was a better selection of supplies at other big box pet store chains. Maybe so, but as a buyer of pet related items (feline, canine, reptile, amphibian, fish & rodent) over the last 30 years, I can say with 100% certainty they stock the best brands in each product. You don't have to wonder if a certain food brand is better than 30 others, which cat litter works best or which aquarium light is safest. Someone, I'm guessing the owner, has created a store that exclusively stocks and carries the best products of every category. Besides having a great assortment of pets and fish for sale, (who all were in clean cages and tanks when we were there) a very knowledgable staff who all seem to really love working there and enjoy the animals, they also stock the top products for prices comparable to online sources. This is how more pet stores should be run, by tailoring everything to what is BEST for pets and pet owners, not just filling up space with endless products in an effort to sell more and increase profits.

This store is a great place to visit. My kids love it. My dog loves it. I love the employees. They are always friendly and seem to love their job. I wish that I wasn't allergic to cats because they always have the cutenst kittens to play with. This store is locally owned and seem to really care about their animals. I love the birthday party idea for kids!
