We travel 40+ miles from Vancouver, USA to this restaurant when we want Chines food. Their barbeque pork is killer, huge and melt in your mouth tasty. Their dumplings (gyoza or what ever) are fresh made when ordered. It takes 20 minutes to receive them at the table, but well worth the wait. My favorite thing on the menu? Just about anything but the war won ton (sp) is to die for. A huge bowl of ethnic deliciousness including scallops, shrimp, beef, barbecue pork, vegies, etc. All served up in a tasty beef broth. It is worth the 40+ mile drive each way.

If you’re looking for a good, or even decent Chinese restaurant.. go elsewhere. I ate at Chinese Garden frequently before I discovered other places, and let me tell you, it’s awful. The beef is dry, the vegetables are stale, and everything… EVERYTHING is drenched in sauce. It’s as if they don’t trust their own cooking, so they just dowse everything in saucesaucesauce. Their crab puffs taste like aged milk, and their food relies on.. like I said.. their sauce. The only reason I can think of why people like this restaurant, is because it’s roomy, big, and the decor is very nice. Oorrrrr… their taste buds are numb. For crying out loud, their vegetables are soggy. SOGGY! Vegetables shouldn’t be soggy!Skip this shit, seriously.

We stopped in for lunch the other day. The egg flower soup was very tasty and didn't have a thickening agent in it. (that keeps the calorie count down). The BBQ Pork was melt in your mouth tender.. I was very happy with my entire meal.
