My bill was double what they told me it would be. They double vaccinated my dog because they failed to check their records. They did unnecessary dental work when I brought her in for a spay, then charged me for it. Never apologized for misunderstanding, never made an offer to adjust the bill. My biggest issue was that although they could have accurately estimated what my bill may have been they gave me a super low quote. Spay fee alone does not include the office visit fee, the cost of meds (which are optional but they wont tell you that), and the cost of anything them deem necessary while the dog is under (beware of the fine print of the release form). Sure, they care about my dog, but they treated me very poorly. I was upset, but I was polite when I spoke to them about the discrepancies, and the staff treated me like I was a nuisance and a bad pet owner for questioning them. They eventually told me to find a new vet. My family has been using that clinic for 16 years and that's how they treated us. I dont mind paying for my dogs vet care, but I felt the way they handled their pricing was dishonest.

This is a great clinic, I should know, before I had kids I worked as a veterinary assisitant in four different clinics over the years. The quality of care at Cowlitz Animal excellent, the staff is friendly, and they go above and beyond to care for your pet. Their standards are high. Are they the cheapest? No, but when you choose a vet for your pet and you go with the cheapest, you get what you pay for.
