I have the misfortune of being in a category "New Patient".I am on Medicare with a Provider One DSHS supplumental card which is supposed to help after a spend down.I have a need for xrays to determine what is wrong.I am given by most doctors a familiar brush off as "We accept your insurance, but not taking any New patients at this time".That leaves the Family Medical Center almost exclusively by default.I do not drive or have bus fair. I cannot use Paratransportation until the spenddown has been met.Family Medical always informs people that they DO NOT REFER OUT and do not help manage pain.All I ask for was x-rays or a refferal to a neurologist, and they acted like I raided the place.My nurse practitioner was not very helpful during my appointment. She hurt herself during my exam. I was left to wait in the exam room at lunch break and witnessed a fight among medical practioners which got heated.The facilities were not clean and dust everywhere.People were actually sitting in the lobby discussing how much money they were going to sell pain medication for.I actually caught pneumonia from visiting there and ended up in the ER a week later.I have serious allergies to perfumes and such...one of the receptionists was using nail polish remover and sprayed a co-worker with something.The receptionists were talking very loudly in Spanish and understanding some I caught several swears/rude comments from one talking on the telephone.I almost did not go to my appointment as they changed the time and did not call me until 2 hours after I had showed up early.

I went to the FHC to have a wisdom tooth pulled, on my first apt I had the xrays done, I was told to stick the film as far back as I could and bite down on it, when I had trouble with my gag reflex, the dentist decided to hold me down like I was some kind of wild animal, cussing and swearing at me, was on top of me like he was trying to rape me, he shoved the film in my mouth so hard it cut the back of my throat, also hitting me in the face with the xray gun, laughing and enjoying every minute of it like the sadistic thug he is, His assistant was even lauging with him. My second visit to get it pulled was like any other dentist, but they were mistreating the other people there. I will NEVER go to the FHC again and wouldn't even send a dead dog to those NAZI'S.. the worst thing now, its the ONLY place in town that accepts dshs insurance now. So I get to to suffer because I have no ride to other places and would rather die than go back to that thug place.

I have been going here for about 10 years now. while occaissionally slow I have always been treated with courtesy. and they are very willing to work with you about payment for services.

I am from Portland and I have never seen such poor practices. I WAS seeing a doctor that was a complete disapointment. Stephanie is her first name. I was treated with great disregard and was not listened to; as she continued to persuade me to continue physical therapy...even after the head therapist stated that it was not what I needed at this time and infact it could make my injuries worse. I had to beg to get tests done and wait atleast a month for each decission that was made for finding a solution to my leg pains. What happened to proactive doctors that care? I absolutely am NEVER going there again!

I went in to the doctor for some health concerns. I arrived twenty minutes before my appointment,hoping to get in a little sooner. This was not the case and didn't get called back until forty-five minutes after my appointment. Once I was back there the M.A. took my blood pressure, etc. and said the doctor would be a minute. Another forty-five minutes later my doctor arrived, who seemed less concerned about my issuesand more concerned with getting me out of the office. She ordered blood work to be done by their lab tech, who was a man who muttered to himself, didn't acknowledge me at all, stuck a needle in both arms; blowing two veins and, failing to get any blood. He then took off his gloves and said we are finished. When I said but you didn't get any blood. He said you're going to the hospital lab and proceeded to say nothing else to me. When I got to the other lab they had no paperwork for me. I called FHC records department who was told by the lab tech that I refused to have blood d

This Family Health Center is the worst place they call a Doctors Office or Clinic that I have ever entered. This place doesn't deserve the one star that is required. The Staff, Doctors Nurses and Secretaries, all fall in the same spot, Horrible. Extremely poor attitudes towards every one and none of them are even close to being professional and have no respect. The office and rooms are not clean for a Clinic, its down right gross in some places. I went for a simple bug bite to make sure it wasn't poison and I had to wait forever, then they had it in there system that it was a dog bit, then I was treated like scum, a low life, and like I was the stupidest person on this planet and they were so much better than me. And after all that was through I was told I did not have a preexisting condition that I really do have and was told it was in my head and I need to for get it and was then lectured about my other doctors when there in another state! If you are thinking about going reconsider!

My friend called to make an appointment for her mother who suffers what we believe to be depression. When she called they asked if she had pain, she stated yes but that that was not why she was coming in it was for depression. She was then told that they needed to see her mother's medical records/doctors notes. She explained that her mother hasn't been to a doctor since her brother was born over 20 years ago, she then told her that they could not see her mother then! Because if she has pain they have to have records!!! This is ridiculous!!! And to have meds done at the local mental health facility you need a dr referral so what are we to do now?!

my doctor christy russell, is fantastic ! she helps me on what ever i needed ! she spends alot of time with all my cares, she is the best ! and i will take my daughter there to see her only, she is awsom !

I came across the FHC and made an appointment for my 7 year old daughter. When we got there, we waited 20 minutes past our appt. time with no explanation and when it was time to go back, they told me I could not go with her. I told them that wasn't a very good idea- my daughter had some separation anxiety, especially when it came to dentists and doctors. They explained that there were privacy issues because there are NO WALLS separating patients but they promised that if they had any issue whatsoever or if my daughter requested my presence, they would come and get me. 20 minutes passes and I am very anxious by this time. They bring my daughter out who is in TEARS and tell me everything looks good!! I asked my daughter why she was crying and she said that the dentist told her she didn't get a prize because she was 'bad'!!!! They never came and got me and only called to give a cheap 'I'm sorry' after I made it quietly obvious that I was upset. TRY TWIN CITY DENTAL IN KELSO- BEST EVER.
