Went on a Friday, mid-month in 102 degree heat hoping for no crowds. Figured that right, waited only about 3 minutes, but after I gave the worker at the window ALL of the required documents, I was told that I HAVE to have an appointment even tho the SSA website says one is NOT necessary.

I had the paperwork filled out, but was told they would do that over the phone via a phone appointment in FIVE (5) weeks. I was also told that I have to go thru the Portland, OR office, which is also untrue. They are a Federal entity. I can apply in Alaska if I want.

I have no idea why she could not have taken my FILLED OUT claim form at that time.

So, no wait, but no real service either! How many stars is that????

Very helpful staff, parking is interesting, usually no long waiting line. Right off OB Hwy. (SR 4) so it's convenient to access too.
