My first interaction with Blue Horizons (BH) was with Marty Olson, the VP and sales man. After I accepted the estimate,Marty come to my house to help me select pavers, paver style, tiles and Diamond Brite finishes.
His patience was much appreciated. And the finished job is stunning and I smile every time I see it.

BH has experts for each part of the project. Anthony and Kevin came to do the demolition. They spent a lot of time prepping intakes and returns before they started with the jack hammers.

Mike was next to install the tile.
Rogerio came to install the bull nose pavers and the deck drain. With the deck drain we ran into a problem with pool pump plumbing in the way.
After the Diamond Bright was installed, Kevin #2 came to do final cleaning sand off the pavers, taking the tape off the deck drain and adding pool chemicals on a Friday, and then he was back again on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of the next week.

We are really sorry this customer feels this way about our company. It is our desire to be complete in our work and communication with our customer. Our service technician, who has been with our company for over ten years, repaired several leaks at the pool equipment and unclogged the skimmer line of leaves which was due to the pool having an over abundance of leaves and the pool cleaner trying to pick up too many leaves at once. After the repairs were made our service technician showed the customer the repair and also instructed the customer to first remove the leaves with a leaf vacuum rather than running the pool cleaner which could possibl clog the line again. After approximately nine days the customer called the office and was given suggestions to unclog cleaner, three days later customer contacted us again and was put on our repair schedule. The customer chose to run the cleaner and as a result the line was clogged again. This is why it resulted in another service call as instruction and warnings were not heeded.

I was satisfied with the initial work, done by Blue Horizon. Their technician gave me a written 6 months warranty, on the $250 worth of work he did. Quite a bit of leaves had accumulated, as my system had not been running correctly for a while, and I couldn't afford to keep up the pool. However, an hour after the technician left, the sweeper stopped running, and I couldn't get any suction at all. I called him back, (it was a Friday afternoon), and he gave me some instructions, which I worked on, for hours, over the weekend. For 2 weeks, I tried to get them back out. Finally, today, Gary, (the owner?) called me this morning. He said he was on his way. I told him I was still in bed, and he said fine, as long as someone could pay for the work. I reminded him that this was a warranty issue. His attitude changed, IMMEDIATELY. He said he'd have to call the original technician, to find out what he had done. He called me back, and said that it probably wasn't going to be covered under warranty, because of my "negligence", for not getting the leaves out! The whole point of hiring them, was to get my system running, so I could GET THE LEAVES OUT! Then he proceeded to tell me I waited 2 weeks to call, when I've been calling for 2 weeks, but hello, the warranty is for 6 MONTHS! Gary then proceeded to tell me that the other technician TOLD me that if I didn't get the leaves out, the warranty wouldn't apply. HUH? So Gary insulted me, condescended to me, implied that he was present at my conversation with the other technician, and that the pool pump not running was "my fault". This is the worst example of customer service I've seen in a LONG time. I would not hire this company again, if my pool resembled the BLACK LAGOON. I will be taking them to court, where a judge can decide what's what. Buyer, BEWARE!
