Chapter 493.6404 of Fl Statutes requires agencies to perform a written "complete and accurate inventory" and give notice to the debtor by mail. These records must be kept for 2 years. Property must be removed, bagged and stored a minimum of 45 days prior to disposal. For complying with these requirements, the State permits a charge for inventory and storage.
