Provided by YP.comi have been a client of Pet Med for over 13 years. Dr. Diedrick and his loving staff have cared for all of my pets as if they were their own. Recently, i moved to Sandusky and I still drive my cats and dogs to Pet Med because I would not trust anyone else to their care. My fiance's cat Scooter needed to be declawed and we decided to take him to Pet Med also. Matt(my fiance) has had bad experiences with the local vets in Sandusky and so I recommended Pet Med for Scooter's care. He was very concerned as he has never had a cat declawed or had an animal stay overnight for surgery. Doc saw the concern and took it upon himself to take Scooter home with him overnight so Scooter would not be alone. Matt and I were very relieved. We could not have asked for more. He really goes above and beyond for his clients. If you want 5 star service and quality - you want to take your pets to Pet Med!!!!!

Provided by YP.comWell happy holidays but like all pets sometimes they eat things. My dog Gunner decided to eat part of our tree and didn't think much of it until he started to vomit. Went to the local emergency vet. and got supportive care for the night but wanted to take to our regular vet(Pet Med Clinic). Next morning got right in (thank God) and was seen by Dr. Diedrich. He examined Gunner and said he felt something in the intestines. Had he eatten anything? Bingo - Christmas Tree. Gunner didn't look very good and Dr. Diedrich explained that he was hurting because of the blockage. X-rays were taken and a suspicious area was seen. We gave permission for them to look in the stomach with an endoscope. Bingo again - but they were unable to get it out with a special instrument because it had passed into the intestines and was hung up. Surgery was done and three areas of the intestines had to be opened to remove all the tree, string and plastic. Without the surgery Gunner would of suffered and died. He is his old self again and doing great. Thanks for all the great care.
5 stars beause they really care and kept us informed at all stages.

Provided by YP.comFluffy my cat had been throwing up once a week and losing wieght so I took him in. After an exam we found out he was allergic to fish cat food. The doctor explained that it is not a normal meat for cats. We switched to a non-fish food and he is doing great. I'm so happy that fluffy is back to his normal playfull self. Thanks

Provided by YP.comTook my dog Macho here for a second opnion for a swelling under his tongue. First was very impressed with how clean this clinic is. Nice bright decor that helps when your stressed. Anyways, the Doctor new right away what was wrong and said that Macho had a blocked or ruptured gland under his tongue. He gave us information and different plans we could try which I appreciated. We ended up having surgery an Macho is doing fine now. Highly recommend this place. I'll be going back.

Provided by YP.comHad my pet "Justin" in for vomiting and diarhea yesterday. What was great was that the doctor came in on her day off to see Justin.Dr. Pancari was terrrific and explained what was going on. Gave me an estimate of what things would cost. She talked to Justin just like he was her on dog, I really loved that. Today Justin is doing much better on his medication and I just wanted to thank the staff at Pet Med for getting me in right away. If your looking for a caring place I cannot recommend them more highly.

Provided by YP.comDr. Diedrich is very caring and compassionate, not only towards the pets he cares for but also towards their owners. My cat had been vomitting and not eating. We tried conservative treatment first but when that failed he didn't waste a minute to get him in. He required surgery to remove an obstrustion and Dr. Diedrich came in on his day off to take care of this. He was very caring and took his time explaining what needed to be done. I appreciate this as a pet owner, and as a nurse I wish there were more physicians like him. Thank you Dr. Diedrich!

Provided by YP.comJust moved to the area and Bone got sick. Didn't know where to go but remembered passing this nice looking animal hospital. was there today and the Vet really helped us out. I could tell Bone is already feeling better tonight. Did some blood tests and got an answer right away. So why does it take my dr 3 days? Anyway, thatks and not expensive either.
