Hi, my name is Terry L. Douglas and was seeking employment at American Apperal. I completed a application and submitted it with my resume. On Oct. 15, 2010 American Apperal called me and told me to be there on Oct. 18, 2010 at 8:00a.m. to take a test for the custodian position. On Oct.18, 2010 I took the test, which was so simple. Several days later I called American Apperal to see why they haven't contacted me yet. American Apperal lied and said that I had failed the test. I than told them that's impossible because it was so simple. So I ask to come down to take a look at the so-called failed test. American Apperal said we shred the test after we review the answer. I'm African-American and I am aware that American Apperal was racial profiling to eliminate African-Americans from seeking employment at their clothing company. If your name is not Lopez, Martinez, or Hernandez you will not get hired by American Apperal. American Apperal stands for "Racism".
