Founder, John Wilson, opened Auto Chek Centers' first Test-Only Center in West Los Angeles on November 1st, 1984. Auto Chek Centers entered the young industry with an innovative, full-service, step-by-step strategy to meet the state's growing need for smog inspections. This successful business model and service concept, enabled a second location to be opened two years later, in Fullerton. Auto Check Centers now operates six service locations in Southern California. Today, Auto Chek Centers is owned and operated by father and son, Richard Fuchs, Sr. and Richard Fuchs, Jr.
