Built in 1927,the Bel Air Country Club is a private 18-hole golf course in Los Angeles, Calif. Its dress code states that no denim should be worn and collared shirts are required. Its Pro Shop hours are from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The Bel Air golf course has greens of poa annua grass, and fairways of Bermuda grass. It has 41-50 sand bunkers with water hazards in play. It is a scenic and hilly course that has some swinging bridges that cross over a deep canyon. Most of the layout is very picturesque and there is an abundance of wildlife for its member s viewing pleasure. Golfweek ranked this course among 'America's 100 Best Classical Courses.' Several designers, including Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and George Fazio, have done renovations on the course over the years. Caddies are mandatory if members choose to walk the course.
