HORRIBLE customer service!!! My vehicle died on the freeway while a friend was driving, I called AAA to have it towed to Hollywood. AAA informed me I was just outside my 7 mile coverage and I would be responsible for the miles over, I agreed. AAA contractors (blue lake motors) towed my vehicle to Pep Boys. Once there, the driver demanded cash only. My friend called and stated he would only take cash. I was stuck in class a couple miles away. I immediately called AAA and towing company to see if they would take card They forced me to deal with their third party contractors. I have a membership with AAA thats the only person as a customer I should have to deal with. I also called Pep Boys to see if if they would bill me the towing. Meanwhile got in a cab to come as soon as possible to pay the towing driver. I repeatedly called the driver to inform him of my status and distance. In the meantime towing driver said AAA gave him permission to impound my vehicle and tow it to Inglewood. The Towing company forced me to pay impound fees, towing fees from Hollywood to Inglewood and then back to Hollywood where it was originally delivered. Over $200 just to get my car back to its original place of towing!!! The original amount was ONLY $45 which I had NO PROBLEM paying. Very RUDE HORRIBLE customer service.
