G4 Media is the parent company of G4, a 24-hour cable and satellite channel dedicated to video games. The company is owned by Comcast and EchoStar. The name, G4, originally stood for the four generations of video games, including text, sprites, polygons and textures. It now stands for Games, Gear, Gadgets and Gigabytes. G4 Media also operates G4techTV Canada and is headquartered in Los Angeles.
