DO NOT VOLUNTEER HERE! It's Los Angeles and there are SO many organizations who could use your assistance. I have been here to serve and would not recommend to anyone. They stuff you into a converted food truck to take you to the serving site and you fall all around inside the truck with food and equipment all over the place thru the streets of LA while you are standing up - which can't be legal. Once you get there the people kind of swarm you, it's scary. There is virtually no crowd control and unfortunately there are many psychologically unwell people and people addicted to drugs, it's dangerous. We were in an alleyway. I didn't know to expect but I wish that I had bc I would have chosen to go somewhere else.
