First, the company was really unorganized. The event was scheduled for October 10-11th of 2012 and the details were not clear prior to the event and contacting anyone to figure things out was nearly impossible and was a waiting game (and when you only have a few days until the event you cannot wait a few days to hear back from the company). The materials needed for the event were shipped really last minute in that we were not to receive them until the day before the event. Since the day before was a Friday, it was really important that there was no delay in shipment to make the event work. To be expected, there was delay and I didn't receive all of my materials in time for the event so I had to attend the event without some rather important pieces. Then a late email was sent out (as if all of the people involved in this event are just waiting by their computers for this businesses last minute unprofessional emails) that stated that we could also do the event the next weekend if our items did not arrive in time. I didn't even get the email until after I’d finished both of my events unprepared. After doing these events I submitted all of their needed information and pictures and waited....and waited.....and waited. I've since called the office, called the woman's cell phone, and emailed her about the idea of this thing call a paycheck that people typically get after completing work. NOTHING. Not even a, "Hey, sorry we forgot to send out the checks so there’s been a delay they'll be there _____" nope. Nothing. This company was sketchy from the start and I should have let that be an indication of how it was going to end. Let my experience be helpful in making your choice of choosing GT Events as an employment opportunity or even as a marketing specialist. Don't do it, it's a scam.
